Job Summary: This position will be responsible for performing electrical work within the state of California including but not limited to installing residential generators and transfer switches, helping submit electrical permits, performing generator preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical issues with generators and transfer switches.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED
Experience:
1-2 years as a licensed electrician in the state of California.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associates degree in electronics or similar major
Experience:
5-7 years as a licensed electrician in the state of California.
2-3 years’ experience with generators and transfer switches.
1-2 years’ experience with main panel upgrades.
1-2 years’ experience with solar or battery installations.
1-2 years’ experience with small engine repair or maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
This position will be responsible for performing electrical work for the installation of back-up generators and transfer switches. Additional duties include troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of generator and transfer switches. The position is also responsible for maintaining stock of tools and materials needed to perform the work.

Ability to read/ write and understand instructions provided in English.
Understand and be able to perform electrical troubleshooting.
Valid Driver License required.
Customer relationship skills are important.

COMPENSATION:
Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly rate for this role based in Concord, CA is $29.05- $43.30. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
