Job Summary: The Generator Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installation, and sales support of Generac industrial products. This position will require up to 50% travel; fleet vehicle provided.

Service Coordinator
Fife, WA
Job Summary: With an ongoing tradition of providing excellent products and outstanding service for our customers, Energy Systems is one of the longest existing Generac Industrial Distributors in the United States. We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals. The Service Coordinator I position will be responsible for creating jobs, answering incoming service calls, dispatching the technicians, maintaining the job calendar (tech schedules), and managing overall administrative workflow for the Service Department.
These functions require electronic management of service jobs using company business systems. In addition, this position requires supporting other personnel as needed. This position will report to the Branch Manager.
Major Responsibilities
- Creating jobs, answering incoming phone calls, and assisting with the scheduling of technicians
- Scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs with customers
- Use specific customer portals as needed to manage all open work orders
- Tracking open jobs and seeing them through to completion
- Meeting with the service operations team regularly
- Support of other Service departmental roles on an as-needed basis
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Work Experience
- One to three years of administrative experience in a service-related business
- One to three years of scheduling field technicians and/or customer service
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
- General knowledge of service parts and the service industry, including but not limited to basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Incorporate time management skills by prioritizing work assignments.
- Proven interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers, including being a team player to create synergy within the office and company.
- Must be able to handle high-pressure situations.
- Must have basic math skills for computing percentages, multipliers, sales tax, and totals on parts orders.
Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Fife, WA is $22.85 – $31.98 USD per hour. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Inside Sales Representative
Fife, WA
Job Summary: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for taking technician recommendations, gauging them for plausibility, and following up promptly. The inside sales representative is responsible for working cross-functionally to develop customer proposals. This person owns the service repair proposal process from start to finish by guiding the customer through the repair process and offering the most effective solution to the problem. The inside sales representative should follow up on all active proposals promptly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the direct point of contact to the customer for all plant down, Level 1 recommendations within 3 hours.
- Act as the direct point of contact to the customer for all unit down, Level 2, and 3 recommendations within 12 hours.
- Act as the direct point of contact for the customer for all other technician recommendations within 24 hours.
- Ensure all service repair proposals meet the minimum expected margins.
- Foster and maintain a professional relationship with the operations team, service supervisors, and technicians to ensure high customer service and communication when supporting recommendations.
- Ensure all sales follow-up activities occur within 2 business days of the initial proposal.
- Own the sales cycle process from recommendations on the dashboard to handoff to Service Operations. This includes the necessary follow-up with all stakeholders.
- As assigned by the Branch Manager, capture upselling and cross-selling opportunities that include, but aren’t limited to the following, remote monitoring, rentals, load bank testing, fuel polishing, fluid sampling, or maintenance solutions.
