Service Sales and Rentals Representative
Bohemia, NY
Job Summary: This position will be responsible for increasing the rentals, aftermarket parts and service business within their assigned territory. They will promote the company rentals, service and parts departments to increase sales in PM agreements, equipment repairs, rental equipment, and generally promote Energy Systems as the primary source for aftermarket parts and service of power generation equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with peers in service quoting and parts department to estimate and develop sales bids and proposals for generator services to customers, and credibly present said proposals to end users and their representatives (facilities managers, plant engineers, maintenance personnel, purchasing agents, and/or company executives). The typical proposals will include
- Preventative Maintenance Agreements
- Generator Repairs
- Generator Rentals
- Ensure the establishment of industry contacts and develop a list of potential customers–mostly end-users who are responsible for the uptime of the generator within your assigned territory.
- Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls. Regularly monitor all sources of leads (government bid opportunities, service department startups of new equipment, etc.). Seek bid opportunities and create your own leads from relevant prospects in the SAM (served available market). Attend walk-through inspections and audits of facilities and generator installations to enable the achievement of precise service quotations.
- Maintain updated understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations that effect target markets
- Penetrate the commercial buildings facilities maintenance decision making community in your served market verticals and geographies. Become active in the relevant industry associations of facilities and business continuity.
- Proactively act to follow up and close on contracts
- Meet or exceed established sales quotas and revenue goals
- Resolve customer’s problems with product and/or services
- Follow up on customer experience
- Monitor and work within established expense allowance

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Four-year college degree or equivalent sales experience is required.
Work Experience:

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
